Ah ok, the way you said it didn't imply you had done it before, and I thought it'd be odd a first-timer going for a 1D or something like that
 I've got a 350D and am perfectly happy with it  I'll get some more lenses when I can afford it (probably just something like a 75-300mm and maybe a good wide-angle too) I've just passed 11,000 shots tonight, had this for about 9 months now I think

Yeah it's a Mk 3 1D.
I've come into a decent wodge of cash (apart from the winter bonus  ) lately, so I'm thinking about investing in this (or similar) and moving to the East Yorkshire Coast: http://www.boatshop24.co.uk/V0FMUjAx...s_V42.html#topEDIT: came across, wrong, I won't actually be moving to the coast
