Default Back to the Future

This has long been my favourite film and I bought a blu-ray drive for my computer recently just because I'd read that it was being released on the format soon, but last night I read that the UK is also getting a theatrical re-release too!

I was only actually born in 1985 so kind of missed out on that experience, so now I'll not only get the chance to see it at the cinema, but it has been digitally restored so it will be great quality.

Anyone else looking forward to it?

I just went to see it, and it looked incredible! They've done a whole new master, and it is being shown digitally, so it looks really stunning. They've done the audio too, you can hear so much more than before. I can't wait to get the bluray at the end of the month. In the meantime I'll probably go back a couple more time to see it at the cinema!

Very tempted to go an see it tomorrow evening.
Not sure about getting blu-ray as my player already upscales the originals pretty well.
That said, if they are using a new master, then maybe I'll go with it.

I LOVE Back to the Future.

It's one of only 3 movies I make a point of watching every time that it's on the TV so I'll definitely be going to see it.

Anyone else have a bad feeling that somewhere deep within the seedy underbelly of the Hollywood Hills some fat prick with a ponytail is working out the final details of Back to the Future 4? :'(

Upscaling will never be the same as an original, high-def copy. All it does is edge contrast, sharpening basically, so when you compare a 720x576 pixel DVD to a 1920x1080 pixel bluray, you'll never get the same.

...and Jim, I don't think they will do a 4th - Christopher Lloyd is getting on a bit, and Michael J Fox can't really do much acting anymore, sadly. People have been asking for years but I just really don't see it happening.

One of my all time favorites. Everything is just great about it.

Don't think there will be another movie, but a game is being made that I really look forward to:
