Default Best endings

What are some of your favourite endings to films?

Back To The Future II - Marty sees the Delorean hit by lightning and then gets the letter from Doc Brown in 1885, "There's only one man who can help me" and it cuts to the scene at the clocktower, all replayed and then he runs around the corner. Accompanied by fantastic music by Alan Silvestrii it's probably my favourite end to a film (and of course replayed as the intro to Back To The Future III)

Star Wars Episode III Revenge Of The Sith - I suppose we all knew how it had to end, but I don't think it could have been done any other way or any better. Of course all Star Wars films end with no dialogue and just the amazing John Williams music, but for me the end to Episode III was the best end to any of them. Obviously reminiscent of the shot when we see Luke looking from the same point over the desert in Episode IV and with the same music, albeit much stronger now, I just thought it was perfect.

Close Encounter Of The Third Kind - One of my favourite Spielberg films, the whole film is quite magical but the end (especially the original ending, which is a deleted scene on the dvd), with the music from Pinnochio (When you wish upon a star) I just love it, one of my favourite films since I was a kid.

I'll probably think up some more tomorrow, it's a bit late now and my mind isn't at its clearest.
