Default Pirates 4

It seems Disney, that company that likes money more than anyone else these days, has Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 in development.

Now, I love the Pirates trilogy. Great entertainment, popcorn films and actual decent films where you can leave your brain at home but still not feel like you're wasting your time (like 300 and Hollywood horror remakes). But really, this franchise should have been left alone. Damn you Disney, damn you.

"A fourth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was among a raft of projects unveiled by the Disney studio at a Hollywood showcase this week.

If realised, Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow."

Thank you BBC News for that news.

Aloha !

Only part 1 was really good. Part 2 left me with wanting more, but then part 3 came and I wished part 2 was never released.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I loved the first one, hated the second one and have not seen the third. I really hope they take the time to try to make this a decent movie instead of getting it out as fast as possible just to make a profit.

Exactly my feelings.
Johnny Depp is the only one signing again ... that's what they said on tv this morning.

The trilogy took exaclty the same shape as the Matrix trilogy. Brilliant 1st films but tried to put way to much stuff in the other films making them a bit of a mess tbh.

Well it's been known that Keira Knightley didn't want to reprise her feelings since the 3rd film. Dunno about Orlando, though I can see him being in the story if he'd return.

Depp carried the entire movie anyway, without him the movie would've been shit. It's not like Pirates needs Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightley. And I'm pretty sure that the other b-stars of the movie (like the one with his eye falling out all the time) will return as well.

I agree. They should really get Depp signing.

The first one is the best among the three. I already forgot the 2nd one and the third is like "unfinished" that you'll know that there will be a part four.

I liked part 2 nearly as much as part 1, I thought it was a really great sequel (after being a bit disapointed at first). Part 3 just sucked. That flying durchmen story wasn't just good enough to be stretched over two movies. So that leaves me looking forward to part 4 I guess... if they come up with something new.
But if this will be a better and original film, I'll forgive them for part 3. And hey, of course I'd love Captain Jack Sparrow to return! Let's make it like the James Bond movies... so in 30 years our kids go like "which was the best Jack Sparrow? The first, that Johnny Depp, was just classic!" ...
