There are different types of bootlegs for films now. The old fashioned type, which are the worst quality, are CAM ones - basicaly filmed in a cinema. Then you have Telesync ones, which take a CAM video source and a direct line audio feed (some cinemas have headphone inputs for hard of hearing). Then you get Telecine ones, which are transferred digitally, straight from the film, so they are often pretty good quality. After that you'll get DVDSCR which are screeners, the types sent out as advanced previews to retailers I think, so they are effectively DVD quality.

Finally saw it yesterday ... I thought it opened really well, and was really thinking it might be the best film so far ... but it quickly seemed to descend into anarchy. WAY too many characters and plotlines, way too complicated and convoluted. From beginning to end I was trying to work out what was going on, which isn't really what I want in a comedy adventure film. Moments of it are just downright bizarre ... I got the distinct impression that the script must have been written as they went along (which apparently it kinda was), and that most of the scriptwriters must have been on drugs (can't verify that one ).

And even Jack Sparrow seemed to lack some of his charisma, although that may be something to do with the fact he wasn't in it enough. Keef was cool, but in it for all of two seconds. Norrington and Beckett added to the confusion by looking really similar.

The final battle sequence was fantastically done though. All in all, probably my least favourite of the three films, but with some really good moments
