What, to become Darth Chewbacca?

Heh, he died saving people from a planet whose moon was crashing down into it ... he got left behind as there was no time to get him aboard the Falcon and get all the people on it to safety

Now I remember he sacrificed them to get away. I only saw a comic strip version of it.
The image I recall was Han (and I think) Leia looking out the cockpit of the falcon and watching Chewbacca falling down into flames.

Is that far off or closer?

I've read that Mace Windew comes back in one of the books, is this true?

I've never heard of this, I searched Wookiepedia but nothing came up. I suppose there is always room for that to happen though- he could always have survived and gone into hiding or something.

That's what I'd think. Mace Windew couldn't of just been killed off by being shocked, then thrown out of a window.

Huge fan of Star Wars and I love all six films.

I love all expanded universe stuff too - the Timothy Zahn books are superb, The Thrawn Trilogy being the obvious choice for best of the bunch - fantastic books.

I'm a big fan of the graphic novels too and loved the Star Wars Tales and Clone Wars series'. Really need to get the Empire series that's been eluding me for so long.

I went to a Star Wars exhibition in London at the weekend and got to have a lightsaber fight in front of 'green screen' which I have on DVD with Star Wars backgrounds in place.

In 2 weeks I'll be at Celebration Europe in London which should be great fun.

Does anyone know if they are ever going to release a star wars boxset containing all 6 films?

I've heard of a set of HD masters that they are working on, and possibly even for a 3D release, so presumably another theatrical re-release, on IMAX I'd bet. I just look forward to seeing The Phantom Menace remastered - they are supposedly going to digitise Yoda - that puppet looked awful.
