I've been hearing those bumps too and was wondering the same thing.

It makes me wonder about the source Obie has? I guess this is a conversation better suited once we hear the actual album versions.

I think its just been mixed a bit to get Richie's vocals a correct level to how it would be on a polished version.

I love it. Proper raw. You can feel the energy and emotion brilliantly in this. I'm as excited about this as when Crush came out.

I'm with you on this. The 3 songs that I've heard have a such a raw power to them. Good enough enhancement in sound to properly blast them on the stereo without taking away the spirit and emotion within the framework of songs. They have an edge to them that makes me feel like I'm smack dab in the middle of the recording sessions. I'm interested in reading eventual reviews of this by the media.

Honestly, I don't get it. Either they don't have the individual tracks anymore or Obie has lost his ears/mind.

While the quality is good, there are just fundamental "errors" for me. On this one for example, the vocals in the verses and the guitar (especially in the solo) are just not loud enough. On Full Moon High the bass is way too loud, in a way that it's just distracting.

So far from perfect for me, but better than the leaks of course (oh, and thanks for the link )

Haha,when I started listening to this I always confused it with Growing Up The Hard Way.
I still can't believe that we are so close to getting all of them in high quality,i've been listening to the youtube versions for a year and half or so. I can't imagine how other fans who've been listening to them since the 90's feel...
I just realised that on NJ there are alot of NANANAs(BTBMB,Judgement Day,Growing up the hard way) just like there are alot of Yea Yea Yea's on TD(Hearts Breaking Even,Lie to Me,Damned,Open All night(1 milion boxset))

And after hearing some of the bumps yesterday, I'm starting to wonder about the source Obie is using. They might have used the same quality versions we all had verses a master track.

This is why I hate this internet era.

Although I have every intention of buying this release, I still ripped all three songs and have been listening to them non-stop...

I'm not strong enough not to do this so now when I do get the album, there will probably be only 1 song left to look forward to.
