Any update on the vinyl release?
Amazon say Feb 19th and only 10 tracks so luv can and shine didn’t make the vinyl version. I was hoping that was the reason for the delay - extra tracks.
I’m not paying £24 for that. I’ll wait until it drops to £10.

Don't know why, but I somehow don't think we will get the vinyl version at all in the end... this album plain and simply flopped.

Although Luv Can is one of my favorite BJ songs so far, I'd say Shine would make for a better single, if we're considering Valentine's Day

Hell no that Luv Can is a romantic boy-girl song...

Even though I'm not a big fan of Shine due to it obviously resembling the sound of the WAN era, it'd have a much better chance of being played on the radio than Story Of Love. But then again, so would have almost any other song than the ones they've released...

Could one BE any less of a A&R talent?

I don't agree with that kind of critic towards Story Of Love.
Of course it won't be a hit since Bon Jovi aren't cool enough anymore to chart a hitsingle.
But when you think of stuff like Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" or Michael Schulte's "You Let Me Walk Alone" which run up and down the mainstream radio here in Germany, Story Of Love is a comprehensible decision.

The problem is that I think it's one of Jon's most unpleasant sounding songs vocally on the album. Him sounding so far removed from what the casual radio listener expects/remembers of Jon may be alienating to many. I had already heard these comments on Limitless and that was so overproduced that it masked it quite a bit.

Yes! Great point. His lullabies ruin the song.

But that might be a chance as well if people don't recognize him and think it's a new up-and-coming artist

If it's something the casual listener doesn't expect/remember out of Jon's voice though, I think the point can be made that it may be an interesting experiment. I think it will do what singles for them always do BUT it's an unexpected choice with Beautiful Drug being the safer one so I kind of dig that.

The idea that it has anything to do with Valentine's Day timing is bonkers. Ballad, yes, love song to a significant other, no.
