About time Bon Jovi released another upbeat rock single

If you strip the vocals from most songs, you have instant potential.

The vocals combined with the lyrics will dictate the song.

If Jon's got some edgy lyrics with a little attitude in his voice, the song could have potential... If Jon is going to whisper his way through the songs with lyrics about politics and the soul kitchen, it's over.

It actually reminds me of the Have A Nice Day album in terms of music arrangement and just the overall sound it sounds edgy with that rock vibe to it. Definitely sounds better than any of the band's previous singles over the past few albums.

Ooo I like it. It's nothing we haven't heard before, but it sounds like one of the good post-LH songs.

The chord structure is so unoriginal and that stupid Shanks Edge-type guitar with no solo for the millionth time is sooo irritating. Still have hope the lyrics will be inspiring though (not).

Total rubbish.

I dreamt of talking to Shanks today. I told him what he's doing in BJ is what makes the fans hate him and he should move on to doing something else. He seemed surprised but I don't know if he took the advice eventually.

I did quite enjoy that snippet. Like others have said, nothing revolutionary, but certainly promising.

Plot twist: Jon has actually started that singing contest to get some talented rock vocals for the first single in order to get some airplay and recognition instead of adding his own voice.
