I get what you're trying to say, it's just meant as a bit of fun, but the idea that the bit of fun is by no means any worse than officially produced songs is kind of telling about the quality of Jon's output this past decade. So doesn't that kind of prove the point people have been trying to make here anyway? . You're making it sound like as if people on here have been analyzing this to death while it really doesn't take a lot to just judge it after a first listen and hear it's painful to listen to and ultimately just lazy songwriting.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

As has been told to you many times before; The topics related to Bon Jovi aren't the place to explain this and I've no interest to get engage in another pissing match with you but even so, if you need a stranger on Jovitalk to tell you it's clear you haven't been following the news, really, meaning you'll be so far behind there's no way I'm able to explain it to you anyway. You haven't gotten the message in regards to your Trump banter so will most likely miss the relevance of his decisions in regards to the virus as well.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
I'm not asking you for news updates because I'm completely aware. I'm asking you what ways are we poorly handling it?

If you said that American Democrats handled it poorly because they were so hell bent on Trumps fake impeachment instead of focusing on real world problems, then I would agree...

But THANK YOU President Trump for the following: (and your 55% approval rating of how you handled this)

- Trumps reaction times for the everything in general including the following.

- Shutting down travel from China and then Europe (even though he's now a racist for it).

- Most people and business are ordered to working remotely and keep social distancing.

- A relief bill is going to help every household who makes under 75K per year.

- The Malaria Drug is showing to be a success which is helping many many wonderful people.

Please don't bring that shit in here. No one wants to have to read his name on a Bon Jovi message board.

Keep your Fox News talking points to yourself please.

Next person to go hog-nuts on politics talk in here gets a 3 day ban. Bringing up things here and there, fine, whatever, but people aren't here for long drawn out opinion pieces.

The Fire Inside, as we know it, is as far as I remember basically a "notebook" kinda demo from JBJ with minimal overdubs. To say that "see, this song he just wrote to get stuff from off of his chest sounds just like the labored over songs on the albums!" - yes, that's how creativity works sometimes. The performance itself is noticeable different, though - but not neccessarily in terms of quality (see The Fire Inside example above). Depends on the type of song. If I Was Your Mother would sound quite different played on an accoustic guitar.

The album getting postponed might turn out to be a good thing. Things track has gotten better reception than pretty much everything else released from the record so far. Jon trying less to make a bold statement and more just writing about what's on his mind, immediately and without too much time to overthink, might be a good thing.

Where did you read or hear that the album would be postponed? I haven't found any proof of such a scenario and fully expect for the album to be released as scheduled on May 15.

I think that was speculation rather than an actual fact?

Yep, pure speculation, but I don't think they know themselves when it's gonna be released.

I don't think so either. We've had 2 pictures on Instagram with some powerwashing graffiti, about 2 interviews and 2 video's. That's about all there is. If there'd honestly be a plan they or just Jon would have been booked for talkshows to spread the word and they'd have done more advertising to sell tickets. Instead there's a whole lot of nothing so they know the tour is at risk and thus all promo for the album as well.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
