If no physical copies about then just release it. It will hardly sell anyway.
Without physical copies they won't get another number one album, as they won't be able to count sales they have achieved through ticket sales. They'd probably barley chart. Production plants are shut down and even when they re-open there will be a massive backlog. So unless they have already pressed them I can't see the album coming out in May, unless Jon and the label are willing to take a hit on the chart position.

This. The album supports the tour and makes the album look like it sold more than it did. From a fan standpoint, yeah put 'er out, but if it gets delayed a few months I wonder if they'll scrap it and rework some of the songs.

The album will be released on May 15. They may delay the physical copies, but itunes and other sites will have it on May 15. The problem with canceling the shows is that everything that has been sold so far would have to be subtracted from the album sales, so the camp will not publicly delay those shows until May, so all those lots of tickets would be added to the sale from the album. Then they would publish the delay of the tour, possibly for the fall of this year or in the worst case scenario sometime next year.... then they would only have to repeat the THINFS relaunch play including two new songs to promote the tour, So all those show tickets that were sold would be added to the sold copies of the album.

The album is called 2020, and it can still be promoted through official videos, and private concerts for TV or streaming. This new song Do What You Can, is the proof that the album is scheduled for May, and is the lifeline for the promotion to continue on its course.

The only thing I don't know yet is which song will come out first; Do What You Can or Beautiful Drug ...?

The way JBJ sings Do What You Can in the new video is the way he should sing the studio version. Much better than the original one. Like the piano too.

that all has to be a theory but none of that really makes a ton of sense. We'll see I guess.

If the physical products have not been manufactured then they will not be sent out to people that have puchased tickets. If they are unable to send them out then they will be unable to count them towards chart sales.

I work for a company that used to press cds before people quit buying them haha. The orders were done way in advance. There’s no way they would start pressing a month before the album came out, there’s distribution and many other factors involved. I don’t know for sure of course but I would say they are done.
