I've been on this board for 7+ years and I've never posted a single bullshit, nor I see why I would.

He was on CNN International, program was Amanpour I think. Was just surfing through news channel and had no idea he was on so I missed the first bit, but I've seen them talking about What Do You Can, Unbroken with Harry and then JBJ briefly mentioned 2020.

His exact words were "I'm gonna have to delay the album". He also said it's a very topical record, and with this pandemic it will be even more.

They closed by showing the Unbroken video with the choir.

Given that Limitless didn't do much at all - a first for the band - them postponing the record could be a blessing in disguise.

Also, has Richie done much lately? Like, home recorded videos or anything of the like? Or is production of his album just on halt now, and that's all we know?

I wanted to hear the new album, since Jon tends to make things worse when they're late, except for Crush.

Richie wrote this on his twitter a couple of hours ago:
I wanna wish all of us in the world to stay safe..I miss you all...I got a new record comin atcha very soon.. I’m very proud of it...now it’s time to help each other and get the healin done..big love and god bless....RS

It seems that his album is ready.

He just tweeted that new music is on its way to us!

What's the name of the new song? I thought it was Do What You Can but many people here confuse me with different ones that don't make sense to me.

I don't think people were doubting you. They probably were just asking for the video source so they could watch it. There may have been some confusion between the video you saw and the podcast link Yovana posted, where Jon could have said things a little differently.

Coronavirus song is called Do What You Can.

However the same week that Bon Jovi recorded the Limitless video he also recorded another video for the song Beautiful Drug, which is the first track of the new album. So at any moment, they could release him.

What will be the next song Bon Jovi will release?
I don't know.

It would make absolutely no sense to release Do What You Can after the virus stuff calms down and everything eases back to normal.

First off, we have no idea when that will be, and second, it makes the song outdated and inconsequential.

People need/want new music from their favorite artists now, during the uncertainty, the stress of not knowing.

Releasing it past this time doesn't do anyone any favors.

Same with the album. What does delaying the album's release accomplish? It can be released in May digitally and those who want it can get it. The physical release may need to be delayed due to the logistics of getting physical media to stores, but a majority of people don't listen or buy CD's these days anyway.

I've been a proponent of moving the album release UP. Delaying it would be a terrible decision in my opinion.

Bon Jovi's target audience doesn't really buy digital IMO. Sure, some do, but there's more money to be made from selling records. And... here's the thing: With every concert ticket, you get the record. Boom, charting right away. That's what they did with THINFS. And that's what they can't do right now. And to release an album, digital only, and have it not chart in the top 10? Rather unlikely that'd be in the band's interest.

@Rolo: I mean, he could give us 4 more songs.

Well, I guess this will show what's more important. Releasing the album because it's topical and Jon believes in the message and knows it can help people through this difficult time, or if it's all about chart position.

It makes no sense to write a song about the pandemic, then release it several months later.

This isn't the 80's where it took months from writing to release. Jon could have the song out already and have the proceeds donated.

The lack of forward thinking in this is ridiculous.

And just to be clear, I'm not frustrated with you, your points are all valid, but chart position would be a very disappointing reason to delay the album.
