2020: The New Album

I hope the record is released before the end of this year,as it would be quite pointless to release an album titled Bon Jovi 2020, in 2021.

"We all" =/= general public, aka the vast majority of the (potential and existing) consumer base. "We" also know that Jon can't sing to save his life, yet they continue doing good business on tour.

The Bon Jovi brand today is built on the legacy of hits and (in this case, more importantly) the perception that they're still doing it at a high level ("still getting the no. 1 albums and playing arenas and stadiums"). If they drop the tour & album packaging bundle, and say the album debuts at no. 14, rather than no. 1, you can no longer make these claims on press and interviews with any kind of credibility. Jon is smart and will continue to try to preserve this facade.

Jon's kidding himself big time tho, I saw a screenshot posted on Twitter from (I believe) the Howard stern interview, and jon says his voice is stronger than ever. I remember laughing at that when he said something similar back 2011ish. I'd go as far as saying the album, if not tied in with ticket sales, wont even appear on the top 100

He also said that he still takes vocal lessons daily.

It it gets postponed long enough, there could be a new cover for the album titled "Unbroken" to be released in 2021.

Depends if it's already been pressed or not....

Well they also destroyed half a million pressed albums of SWW back in the day when Jon wanted to change the cover art

Jon worded it that now that it's delayed he can add Do What You Can so that tells me it's an anything goes situation now. We could have a very different album when it finally comes out.

very different time now to 1986 - the music business had so much disposable money back then. Trust me they are not going to do that in 2020.....
