Let me start with, I had zero expectations going into this album and I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised.... I'm definitely looking forward to next Friday and the two or three bonus tracks.

I'm not going to do a major review until I hear the entire thing but here are some high level points...

This is giving me a very similar vibe as Burning Bridges did which is good thing.

- I hear bits of classic Jovi
- Jon's vocals are much better then I expected. Especially the chorus on Blood In The Water.
- The instruments and band are apparent
- The production...And no, it's not perfect and sure, some of its recycled. Like the ooohhh in Beautiful Drug. Been there, done that but it's not over the top either. Props to Shanks.

Blood In The Water has the keys of Dry County and a vibe of Sante Fe... and Jon actually sounds good... I need hear this entire thing now!!! Its Amazing!!

And some ideas from Dry County’s first verse:

“Across the border they turn water into wine
Some say it's the devil's blood
They're squeezing from the vine...”

From the snippets...

Blood in water (dry county 2), beautiful drug and brothers in arms sound ok.

The rest I’ll have to listen to the full songs but I can’t even get through 90 seconds of story of love as that is horrible to my ears.

Beautiful Drug reminds me of a mix between Neurotica and Mr. Big Time which is good!
Blood in the Water sounds so promising! Love the snippet! It also has some 80’s vibe in it, it sounds magical. It really made a big impression on me.
Brothers in Arms sounds like something from the late 80’s! Wow! Yeah, there’s something of House of Fire in the verses.
I also love the snippet of Let it Rain and I am curious about Lower The Flag. Cannot judge it now.

It is obvious that like it happened almost with every record since Lost Highway (except for THINFS), the first single is an absolute mistake. I don’t know if it was the label or what, but Limitless is absolutely horrible in my opinion and we have seen that nobody cared about it, it didn’t have any public attention!
Another horrible thing is the record cover pic!

Anyway, as someone said before, it’s good to hear all the band playing and this time it looks like the production has done a good job. I can hear Bon Jovi through these snippets, and the lyrics seems so promising!

Now I am really looking forward to it!

I've only listened to the 30 second snippets once.

Beautiful Drug and Blood In The Water sound very good.

The rest sound a bit samey I feel. Let It Rain sounds alright too.

I really like these snippets. It won't necessarily be my favorite album, but it is certainly an interesting release. I'm looking forward to it.

Best:
1.Blood in the Water - Absolutely classic
2.Beautiful Drug - Most catchy
3.Story Of Love - A classic melody used in thousands of songs. However, it has something cool in it
4.Let It Rain - I like the guitar in the chorus.

I have to listen to the whole song before I judge:
Lower The Flag
Brothers In Arms

Default 2020: The New Album

Had a listen to all the snippets. Very by-the-numbers Jon-trying-to-be-Springsteen as I expected. None of them are selling it to me at all. I will not be picking this one up.
