2020: The New Album

I assume I am one of the few, but I really enjoy the snippet of Lower the Flag. It has a fitting vibe over it and I actually like the lyrics a lot. Even though the theme has been used a million times before the "But we deserve to live life in between" fits great and doesn't feel as forced as many other similar "live your life-songs." The chorus is very well written in my book.

Other than that pretty dissapointed. Let It Rain sounds OK but I have no clue what they are trying to do with Brothers In Arms. Story of Love is another one of the cringe cheesy songs. It's up there with the "cat in the tree" and the "kiss in the electric chair". Beautiuful Drug seems pretty cheesy as well, but at least an uptempo song with a cool solo.

Blood in the Water is crazy similar to Dry County. Both the overall feel of the song and the melody. You can easily sing Dry County over the chorus of this one. Not a bad thing though, I look forward to hear it. Hopefully it can be a decent "Dry County 2.0".

I don't know, I can imagine some scenarios similar to what U2 or Metallica have done. U2 released the song Blackout as their first single from Songs of Experience, and as the second single You’re The Best Thing About Me, the latter received all the attention. Metallica did the same with their last album, Hardwired was the debut, but Moth into Flame was the song that was pushed everywhere.

It's called rocking the house a bit. And I am happy about it.

About Blood in the Water, reminds me of Santa Fe and River Runs Dry, and the beginining feels something of pink floyd. Do you think there will be a good guitar solo, I'm not saying it's something very extended like Dry County, but damn it, if this song has a guitar solo outro like Fingerprints it would be fantastic.

I think this could be one of his best post 2000 songs.

Before Luv Can and Shine became bonus tracks, were there other bonus tracks slated for release?

I'm definitely waiting for the full songs to appear in Spotify. I've preordered the Japanese version because of the bonuses.

I remember that it killed the experience when I listened to the snippets. I'd love to hear the whole album with the bonus tracks together but I know I can't wait that long so at least the standard version next Friday.

Not that I know of. But it would be great if Walmart or European MediaMarkt stores include some bonus track that we don't know yet.

None were announced, no.

I thought we read there were Japan bonus tracks before they put the two new ones on

I mean if they were, the titles weren't announced. All we knew was the bonus videos of Limitless, Unbreakable and Beautiful Drugs.

I could be totally wrong. But when they initially announced 10 songs. Wasn't it announced shortly after that Japan will have bonus tracks? And then the album was delayed etc etc.
