There is touring and then there is touring.

He was probably referring to 100 plus shows a year touring.

In more recent interviews he said that he still feels young and is just waiting for the Stones and Springsteen to retire so he knows where the finish line is. Jon's two biggest heros are still going in their 70s.

I could see Jon continuing to tour the way he did the last tour. 30 shows over 2 to 3 months across major cities, then breaking for 8... 3 Legs.

I know you had a terrible experience at your last show but I still enjoy the atmosphere. I'm also not hung up on every note.

I'm just so on the fence given his sharp decline from even 2016. When he sells a show he sells it but he's almost whisper-yell-singing at some points. His eye twitches, he's pausing randomly. I'm not saying "he sounds bad" i'm saying with the rate of decline over the last....maybe EIGHT years, I can't see that going for another 15 years without getting a lot worse.

Review of 2020 by Riff magazine:

https://riffmagazine.com/album-reviews/bon-jovi-2020/

Decides not to give his opinion on "Blood In the Water" and "lower the Flag"

It says in summary: Even if Jon Bon Jovi gets credit for speaking from the heart, 2020 takes no musical chances, which hurts what otherwise could be a fine album. Fans might argue there’s no point, after more than 35 years of success. But the counterpoint might be “why not take a few risks at this point?” Not to do so is purposely limiting. But maybe he just doesn’t have it in him. His points are still well done and listenable, which still counts

Why does his eye twitch by the way? It's very strange.

No clue. It feels pretty recent-ish though.

For example throughout It's My Life at Rock in Rio ( start at around 1:11:00) when he strains he almost closes one eye. It happens throughout but that feels like the best example.
