Wonder when he's gonna learn to quit harping on his best friend's alleged "inability to get himself together"? And what he's gonna learn from that...

Agreed, it's overkill, but it doesn't lessen my point.

True; and I wasn't disagreeing. In fact, I think I said something similar after Burning Bridges came out. "I got what I wanted, I paid every cost; I'd give it all back to get back what I lost."

Live and learn. Sometimes.

Hmm
After the Circle/GH Jon, David, Tico, Hugh were resting
Richie was promoting his album and doing tours

The return to the WAN tour was postponed by several months (probably by Richie's tour) than initially planned. Jon wanted to start earlier than everyone agreed, but Tico disagreed and Jon respected that.

I wouldn't say the blame is one-sided. Everyone who rested on an agreed date is in the band today. The person who wanted to be both singer and guitarist... we don't really know what he's doing now.

I hope Richie is doing well and will release another album soon.

Wrong. When the 2011 tour was over, a sabbatical year was agreed for everyone, since they spent too much time on the road and recording albums in the studio. But four months later, Jon started composing again, and started recording with shanks to prepare the next album, Jon called everyone for the recording process, Tico was rude and said he was not going anywhere. David was also busy.

Richie was the only one who was in the process of writing, recording and mixing, with JBJ and John Shanks while recording his solo album. Once both albums were finished, Richie released his third solo album earlier, and then did 8 shows.

Everyone rested except Richie, since he was always in the process of writing and recording the albums. So put yourself in their shoes for a moment, and think about that last decade where they released several albums followed with subsequent tours. Richie was the band member with the least time to enjoy a break, as he was always committed as the writer and producer of each album.

Many fans don't appreciate Richie's sacrifice with all that time invested in Bon Jovi. They only remember what the CEO repeats in interviews to save hiself ass.

If Jon had been a great leader, none of this would have gone off the rails.

Could we not in this thread? To everyone else as well? Could this not also be about what pushed him out/why he left?

No, that's off, as rolo rightly pointed out. Near the end of the 2011 tour, Jon talked about a break of about 2 years for everyone to have some time off and pursue other endeavours, including himself talking about a possible solo album or movie soundtrack.
The tour ended on July 31st, around 3 months later, Jon wanted to call Tico back into the studio for demos and Tico told him he'd not do it "because you told us we'd have some time off and I don't wanna go back right now". That were Jon's own words after the 2013 tour.
With Jon's announcement, Richie was gearing up for a solo record, but had to fly back and worth across the US for writing and recording stuff with Jon and then going into the studio for his own material etc.
WAN was even finished before he could record Aftermath.
AOTL was released in mid-September and rapidly, some rushed together tour dates dropped for less than a month later because, by January 2013, Jon had already occupied the schedule with WAN promotion.

Oh relax. Someone posted something that was (given by the facts the band members said themselves in interviews) pretty much off and others corrected it. I get that these threads shouldn't turn into Richie or political landscape discussions, but in the end, it's Jon who keeps mentioning Richie in interviews on and on and who keeps pointing out the social and political status quo with what he writes about and releases. So it's bound to come up again and again.
Trust me, by the time either the album leakes or Friday comes around, this will have dropped anyway

Maybe it's just me but the horse just feels beaten to death with no new info about the who's and why's in probably seven years? I might just be more on edge because I love seeing that the thread is updated but it's just about something that is so little to do with it. Plus this topic is never just a one-two-back and forth, it still feels very touchy.

If I'm in the minority on this, totally cool. Jon's mentioning it but we're mentioning it here as if it has anything to do with the new album. He needs to move on.
