Lower The Flag also has me trapped, a brave song, with great melody. This is a great acoustic song.

This just happened to me.
- Hey Google, play Blood in the Water by Bon Jovi."
- Okay, playing Guns'n'Roses....
- Google, what the ****!
- Sorry I don't understand (keep playing Guns'n'Roses).

I know Google is always having trouble with new releases, but usually she says "Playing Bon Jovi", but this was unexpected...
Now I tried it again, and I got no reply for about 20 seconds, then Google said "Okay playing Blood in the Water", so I guess this was the first time Google loaded that song.

Gotta say I'm surprised how much I like this album.

Story of love is the one that has grabbed me the most so far. Just love it.

Probably missed the boat but if anyone has the bonus tracks I'd love a pm.

Without doubt this is one of the most interesting Bon Jovi albums. It isn't perfect but it demands repeat listenings. The production hepls massively and separates this from previous Shanks albums.

Drums are different than the version with Jennifer Nettles
You can hear it on the kick drum
Its not the same on the album version than the Nettles and the live versions.
And other different part is the crescendo part, its different on both versions, being again the same the Nettles a live versions.
I think that the do what you can album version is a drum machine.
Drum programming usually means synth drums and supplementing actual drum tracks. It never means they used a complete drum machine. I get what you mean but at this point we know he was there, he was created for being there and the breakdown before the final chorus just screams Tico with the snare and Tom together. I'd buy it being a studio drummer before I believed the drums are a computer.

This is a fantastic album. The more I listen, the more its grabbing me.

And the Bonus Tracks might be my favorite.

Only just listened to it.

6/10 for me so far.

The songs we heard already let it down.

Blood In The Water is absolutely incredible. Genuinely blew me away.

Let It Rain/Beautiful Drug & Brothers In Arms are very very good!!

Story Of Love hasn't caught my attention yet except the outro.

Lower The Flag I like and the names of the cities was haunting.

I think Jon sounds very very good on some songs. Weak on other bits but majority I actually like his voice.

Guitar work is Burning Bridges esque which I love for its guitar work.

Tico on some songs sounds absolutely brilliant.

Shanks has done his best job with production so far.

I've actually had similar thoughts than Xavi since it was recorded in the midst of the pandemie and Jon recently said that he HAD to shoot the video alone (which logically was after the song's production) since the other band members couldn't fly across America. So it might well be mostly programmed drums on that track. With or without it, Limitless and Do What You Can are the two most uninteresting sounding songs for me on the album.
