Hi guys, not posted in a good while - hope everyone is keeping well.

Loving parts of the album (Blood On The Water, Story of Love, Brothers in Arms, Let it Rain - they are my stand outs.)

American Reckoning, while current and topical, is not for me.

I like the sentiment to Unbroken but not a big fan of the song. I'm not keen on limitless either, why it was picked as the lead single I don't know.

Do What You Can is fun, Bon Jovi by numbers ... can't help but sing a long!

Anyway, enough of my ramblings!

I don't remember Jon saying such a thing but do remember him describing it as Dry County-esque so I wonder if they just got mistaken?

It does run to 5;58 Mins! I think people, have interpreted "dry county" it's going to be 10 mins, I think what Jon meant it's a Dry County type of song, not that it's going to be 10 mins.

Yeah, that's how I took it too.

It's not Dry County Part 2... There are definitely recycled instrumental parts but melody-wise, there is no comparison.

Same. Let's just say it feels like a spiritual sequel to Dry County and Santa Fe, but still, Blood In The Water has its own thing. It works great, it feels special. I'm surprised by the chorus, Jon was inspired. I would love to hear the songs that did not make it to the album, surely there is a hidden gem out there.

I'm sure some of the 30 songs, if recorded will make a box-set one day.

Yep I totally agree with your take as a spiritual sequel. I thought that very thing when I listened to it today o my my run. My runs is when I can really listen and hear a song!

I treat the initial 4 songs released like they aren't even part of the album... I skip them every time and they mentally feel like they are part of some other EP release.

Unbroken came out almost a year ago and was part of a documentary. Doesn't Fit

DWYC and AR don't sound like they are from the same recording session.

Limitless came out 6 months ago and is forgettable.

The remaining 8 songs are the real album imo

Well after hating Unbroken for me its excellent (as track 2).

DWYC has been deleted from phone. Awful.

American Eulogy 11th on mine and ends the album nicely.

Got the Japanese import CD for £24 on ebay. Vinyl is delayed.
