2020: The New Album

I love Burning Bridges.

Special Editions 2010 was a great missed opportunity.. These editions should have contained an extra CD, to fill rare stuff from the vault, such as demos, unreleased songs, live tracks, soundcheks etc ...

Does anyone know if these editions sold well?

They also need one person of guide for choosing live material, they really need one. These special editions would have been decent if they chose interesting tracks, but with the exception of 3 or 4 tracks, the rest were disappointing.



New Jersey Deluxe Edition 2014, it was great, but could easily have been better. They just needed to add Rosie, In America and Does Anybody Really Fall in Love Anymore? polished version. In the end, I also want to point out the mixing & mastering that Obie made was not very good, it even becomes annoying, it drills my ear (Like Seb once said, sound crystal clear, yet rather dead). However the Box Set is very well mixed and mastered, George Marino has been a great loss for this band, he took care of all the albums until that he died away in 2012. He was one of the best engineers mastering songs. I wonder how NJ demos, WAN, THINFS and 2020 would have sounded with his touch.




What's in the box?

Lots of talk here about another box set. Are we all anticipating further unreleased material from the vaults pre 2010 or are you expecting a box set of unreleased tracks post the Circle era?

I think there may only be 1 or 2 completed songs we've yet to hear pre 2010. I dont think there will be enough material from this era for another box set? I'm sure Obie said pretty much everything up until the 1st box set was pretty much out there now. I expect there are loads of live shows though.

As much as Id love another box set, if the songs are post 2010 songs, Im not sure they will be embraced with the same enthusiasm as 100M fans cant be wrong.

It would be a 2005-2020 boxset, probably.

And I'm pretty sure there's (a lot) of material for it! Only counting "2020" we've got at least 13-15 unheard songs yet, imagine what they've been hiding from the others 5 albums!

It is alike. But the control board behind the glass is gone now; there are the Giants seats, instead.
I'm fine with small boxes, I don't want big garbage.
I literally had no space for the 2020 poster; I'm still waiting for my Rdkopper poster. >_< jajajaja.

How many CDs are you proposing it should have had in order to sell better?

There's the song Nothing instrumental in background, so could contain this song and other outtakes.....

And there's also at the end Cadillac Man instrumental in background when Jon open the box.
