OH nice find! It was just a fan rumour Shine was from WAN so this pretty much confirms it.

I assume Jerry Braden.

Yes. Jerry asked if there was a song that was written and rewritten over and over until it was right...

I though Jon was going to answer the obvious with Diamond Ring... Jon then said that there weren't many and then stared talking about the new album and how some of the songs were rewritten.

In a follow up question a fan asked about Shine and that's when Jon said that this reflects back to Jerry's question... So he kinda went there indirectly.

Jerry used to follow me on twitter then blocked me as I said $200 plus taxes was too expensive for 4 boxes of stuff that you have no idea what’s in them.

That Jerry guy is someone that's so obviously crawling into Jon's behind, that it hurts to see. Though at the rare occasion, he does have good info.

We should consider ourselves lucky that this Jerry guy hasn't found us yet. Otherwise, he'd report the whole site for sharing highly confidential *and very expensive* info here 😂 Not surprised he's bu*thurt, though. Unfortunately, read enough of his stuff on my twt feed before he blocked me too

He's already reporting publicly to Matt on Twitter (JBJFansGlobal) what could be done about his exclusive video having appeared on YouTube and blackmailing fan channels.

Yeah, I saw that earlier on and I immediately checked out your channel if it's still there! I can't believe it only takes one "fan" to make all that mess Pretty sure he's a strong candidate for the asshole of the year award.

I kinda can't see the proof that Shine is actually the same song from WAN sessions. The reason it being rewritten might refer to the changes made to the album throughout the process.
The story about it being too similar to something on WAN and therefore kept aside for the next record, being too good to end up on Burning Bridges, not fitting musically on THINFS and finally making it to 2020 to be pushed to a bonus track because of the topic.. well I consider it a bit too far fetched. It's still quite a common word, only a one word and we know Jon likes reusing some titles, collocations or metaphors.

I can see it. It's like Diamond Ring, a song many don't deem outstanding, but that obviously was a key track to Jon. It'd be a big coincidence if the one track on the album that sounds nothing like 2020 and a lot like WAN (plus it doesn't have Phil on it) wasn't the one song whose exact title got registered in 2012/13.
