That guy from the Washington Post was a total prick.

I was more impressed with how Jon handled him.

Why did he hold up typed lyrics? I think he thought that's what people were doing during the DWYC Contest. Just unprepared.

But all very entertaining

No. The interviewer was winking at the Bob Dylan Subterranean Homesick Blues video (it was even written with a typewriter, he is a journalist), but Jon seemed to be on the defensive at the time.

He didn’t even type the lyrics correctly, there was a mistake.

Haha how JBJ handled him? For the first time IN AGES JBJ is asked real questions and not ass kissed. That must be sorta hard for him, he *barely* managed to last till the end of it, squirming like a worm. I'm glad this interview happened bc I'm pretty sure we won't see anything like that soon, if ever.

I thought the interviewer was extremely kind and generous to Jon. He praised his songwriting, compared the quality of a number of songs on the album to people Jon holds in huge esteem, went to great lengths to showcase Jon's music, and was generally extremely cordial and pleasant. Jon was defensive, egotistical, and rude. I can't imagine any fair-minded person watching that interview and coming away with a positive impression of JBJ.

This is how I felt about it. I enjoyed it because JBJ seemed a bit out of his comfort zone and it wasn't the same stuff.

I used to enjoy interviews with Jon but even ones with different questions (like this) have a negative vibe.

Jon appears to be extremely insecure lately and I think it is understandable given the current state of his musical career. 2020 was a complete failure commercially yet Jon comes out with a comment about how 2020 received rave reviews (it didn't). He sounded like Trump; an obvious lie to cover up his own inadequacy.

I don't think Jon is insecure at all... He's just a fish out of water... He is bored and can't promote the album live... He even said that he would have held the album if it wasn't topical.

I really don't think he gives a shit about the Christmas song controversy as much as half the people on here... It was just a fun Christmas Cover he did with his solo band at his home pub. He's probably more shocked by the fact that people actually care this much about it.

I think this is more on point. And personally, I don't have any interest in the Christmas EP. I'm sticking with listening to 2020 and the new AC/DC album through the holidays and hoping for some unreleased gems and more live performances, in the near future. I can't think of any of my favorite bands in which I would be interested in Christmas song/s.
