3.Beautiful Drug

Let it Rain, Story of Love, Brothers in Arms and Lower the Flag are all great in my opinion.

Close "second" would be Shine and Luv Can. Lower The Flag and Story Of Love are great, too, but don't stick in my ear like the other ones.

For me:

1. Lower the Flag
2. Blood in the Water
3. Beautiful Drug (but this slot changes frequently)

1 and 2 are set in stone.

1. Blood In The Water still holds up...

2 and 3 Shine and Luv Can

I want to like Lower The Flag but I'm just struggling. The vocals add nothing, the melody is blah, and there are no hooks. To me its just another Not Running Anymore type bland song.

Lyrically its good but I'm still not into Jon's "Topical" album approach.

Jon's Spin: "I wrote a Topical album (on Politcal subject matter)"

If it weren't for that haunting, droning vocal melody in Lower the Flag I don't think I'd rate it as high. Something about that is so hooky and eerie.

First two are without any doubt, I like Story Of Love for its message (am I getting old) and it's on no.3 because of the outro.
