Interesting. I don't recall hearing, before this, that Shanks had COVID; but maybe I just missed it.

Jon mentioned David/Everett/John Shanks had it, but Hugh/Tico/him remain healthy: "So half and half."
Of course he thinks in Phil X daily.

Just seen the video for story of love on Mtv ...not listened to that song since album came out.
Within 10 seconds I remembered why. Horrible nasaly vocals and an all round bore fest.

Listened to this on Monday and absolutely loved it! Thought Jon came across extremely well in it and you can tell he really enjoyed an interview in their company.

The thank you at the end was very sincere and it's so much better seeing Jon like this.

For me, this interview proved even more so that sometimes Jon probably comes across moody and boring due to knowing what is going to be asked whereas this was a lot more in detail.

The question about his songwriting now that Richie isn't there was a very good one. Didn't go down the road of asking why he left but we got a different answer from Jon (he still done the whole being in a band isn't a life sentence and that Richie had issues.)

This is why I think Jon needs to do better promo when he comes to the UK. Still do Radio 2 and The One Show if needs be but maybe do Graham Norton show again who will bring a fun side out or something along them lines.
