I also feel Covid is another cutoff point where Jon can now auto tune all his live performances and maybe fool some casual fans.

There are still a few elements that I look forward to when it come to studio work but I'm at the point where I just can't tolerate his live vocie anymore.

It's much more that him just losing his range. Hes skipping words, baby talking, and he's falling behind due to his breathing.

His personality became so boring too. His interviews aren't fun. He uses to be so calm, cool, and laid-back. Now he seems so stressed out and programmed.

hey guys allow me to comeback to the autotune issue...
the youtube and the instagram videos are 2 seperate performances, not the same...
the youtube is without an audience as far as i know, the instagram one is after having performed a number of songs live...
is there an indication of voice doctoring?

Every official live performance that we've seen in the last couple of years has been heavily doctored vocally. Why would this be any different?

Exactly. By this point I'd be more surprised if it wasn't doctored tbh.

Just curious; but what makes you think they're different performances? It seems to be the same club.

Horrific shit yet again from Jon. It does seem Richie leaving was a cut off point. There have been several in the band's career. Before 2000-2003 they were mostly positive, since they have all been negative.

His voice has clearly gone so for that I can't begrudge him. However, him still selling this crap is a joke. Jon always said he would never be a fat Elvis. Well, at least he's still slim.

I always wonder what the rest of the band thinks. They hear what we hear, they know Jon sounds like trash. Does he have no advisor willing to take the hit and try to do what's best for him?

I mean what can he do at this point? As far as what's best for him, it's not like there's a magical pill that will fix this. Practicing ain't going to change much. He can either quit or keep going but the dude's voice is fried. Hundred percent he knows it, too.

I don't know who the guitarist to his left is, but he seems to shudder and go WTF when Jon starts to sing

You've got it. That's what I mean by take the hit. Someone in his life shoud be telling him he sucks and needs to quit. I would expect nothing less from someone in my life if I was routinely making a fool of myself.

It's not going to be anyone on his payroll and that's probably the majority of the people he interacts with. Lately he's been doing, what....30 shows a year? I can see next year that being cut in half and then decreasing before total touring retirement.
