Could be Unbroken. I think that song title is mentioned somewhere in this thread.

Sounds a bit like the melody of Beethoven's 9th symphony with boring vocals added to them.
Actually more like Miguel Rios' Song of Joy, but that was a rip-off of the above-mentioned to begin with.

Well, it doesnt sound too bad for a 30 seconds clip... Also liking the guitar sounds on it but if the song has that not very enthusiastic vocals all over it... better has the greatest lyrics of all time for that to work! :P

As the song isnt even in ASCAP, I imagine that is the demo. I hate the overly compressed vocal sound with thinfs and it seems like this album is gonna suffer from too. I am very enthusiastic to hear new stuff from the band though!!

I guess I'll go....

So we got a 30 second vocal of what is most likely Unbroken especially considering the fact that it's the lyric used in the chorus... Now we don't know where the song is in the mixing process but based on the few other songs given to these type of ads like Reunion, I'm going with this not being the final album version.

Musically:
Personally I like the music. It's got a little Top Gun sounding guitar in there but it's original enough for me not to have to play the "where was this stolen from" game.

Vocally:
Let just pretend that this is the final album mix. Jon does sound a little rough.... but this is his voice now and I accept that... As long as the song is listenable, I'm okay with change.

I've been saying for a while now that Jon should go back to a DA vocal style. Like the songs or not, I'm With You, Labor Of Love, Teardrop, Walls, really do work well with his current vocal tone... and I think Unbroken works too...

[I'm a believer that any song could be great if it's delivered with passion and the vocals are high... Take Lay Your Hand On Me from New Jersey and compare it to the TLFR version... Same subject, same lyrics. One song is a masterpiece while the other is pure garbage... This is why I don't get so caught up with Jon's lyrics or subject matter.... However it is still possible to have great songs with flat vocals... Weezer made a career out of it (although Rivers does have an amazing underrated voice) but it needs more hooks and catchy little undertones and this is the genius of Weezer.]

Overall, I think Unbroken does have those qualities and I really do enjoy what I'm hearing. I'm hearing hooks, I'm hearing some emotion from Jon, and this is piggybacking right off of Walls.... I can't take a whole album of it but we know that there are going to be arena anthems and other stuff Jon spoke about so I'm not even worried about it.

Every one of the past 4 albums had one these and this it 2020s...

I made my own little mix by looping the Top Gun guitar to fade in the song and then also fade it out... I also brought up the ending Oh Oh Oh Ohs... After a dozen listens, it's not terrible at all but I also need to hear more to give it a real fair judgement...
