It is always about the frontman and lead guitarists. Would I be bummed if I watch Aerosmith without Joe? Yes. Would I be bummed if I watch GN'R without Slash? Yes(GN'R without Slash was a joke). Am I bummed that Bon Jovi dont have Richie? Yes, but not as much as the other 2. For some reason, Jon made BJ mainly about himself. Maybe due to the name Bon Jovi?

Joe Perry has played a million solos but not one memorable one [They all seem like on the spot improvisations in the key of the song]. He is all style over substance. Slash, while being the most overrated guitarist ever, has written a ton of memorable solos. But Slash can't even talk, much less sing.
