I'm sick of the "he's old now excuse".

Nothing about that song screams old. The real problem is, it's Jon's voice on someone else's work. It's not Bon Jovi or even Jon Bon Jovi.

Jon thinks that Shanks has the Bon Jovi formula considering he's been the 6th member for 15 years now... The success of HAND is why he's still around. He got comfortable with him way to quick.

I honestly don't think he even needs Shanks for his vocals... other producers can use the same studio tricks and could probably make them sound even better.
