Yeah, Jon is all for reusing words, phrases and ideas but him saying it got reworked a lot, it existing as a song title in 2013, Phil not playing on it, the way it sounds. It ain't proof but it's pretty close. Jon has mentioned in interviews there's usually only one song per album that has 3/4 Waltz Time Signatures (there maybe an album with more than one but I'm blanking, I think These Days? This Ain't a Love Song and Hearts Breaking Even) so that might have factored into it too.

Ok, you are quite convincing. I may not notice it sounds so different from Luv Can but I may be deaf to that.
What I find very hard to believe is that it is somehow the original recording from 2013. I think they would re-record the song to sound the same as others. The same thing they did with BB album. I don't believe the song was in that finished state to be usable now. That would also mean Richie played on it? Maybe it was some form of a demo and it got recorded now. No Phil might be just coincidence. Or do you suggest it was worked on again after Richie had left, let's say in 2015 and now only taken out?
It all sounds like fans creating fascinating stories where there is the slightest chance

no offence of course. I just don't see the reason why it didn't end up on BB, that would be the ideal album. While would such song wait 7 years. Because Jon said it would be a single if it weren't a bonus track? Crazy decisions. I still think both of them should have remained on the album making the standard edition of 12 songs.
