What I find very hard to believe is that it is somehow the original recording from 2013. I think they would re-record the song to sound the same as others. The same thing they did with BB album. I don't believe the song was in that finished state to be usable now. That would also mean Richie played on it? Maybe it was some form of a demo and it got recorded now. No Phil might be just coincidence. Or do you suggest it was worked on again after Richie had left, let's say in 2015 and now only taken out?

It all sounds like fans creating fascinating stories where there is the slightest chance no offence of course. I just don't see the reason why it didn't end up on BB, that would be the ideal album. While would such song wait 7 years. Because Jon said it would be a single if it weren't a bonus track? Crazy decisions. I still think both of them should have remained on the album making the standard edition of 12 songs.
No one is saying it's the original recording though. Because it was on WAN doesn't guarantee Richie played on it. I'm still convinced I'm with You is 90 percent Shanks and the solo is Richie. It very well could have been the bones of the track. We just know in 2013 they were working on a song with that title and it's possible it got redone do this.

This is Jon, the guy who left off This Ain't Love from the Circle because it was too good only to put it on the greatest hits and not release it at all. No rhyme or reason.
