If so, he said pretty much the same thing, about recording DWYC and another new song, in the quote I posted from the FB promo with Jennifer Nettles back on 9/16 :

I asked, then, if anybody noticed who was missing; but apparently it came across like I was dissing David, or putting forth some theory that he wanted out of the band or something. I wasn't; I just thought it was odd that Jon didn't even mention him.
Gotcha, totally forgot about this.

One Question, When THINFS was launched, did we know days before the bonus tracks of Wal-mart and stores in Europe? Or was everything discovered the day it went on sale? I mean, did we have any prior information that these sites were going to release the album with exclusive tracks?

Yeah we knew the names of the tracks ahead of time. If there any exclusive deals and bonus tracks we would have known about it long before the week of album release I think.

But we're also in a completely different time where asking people to go out to stores in order to get bonus stuff probably isn't going to happen.

Ok, I thought those bonus tracks were discovered the day they came out. Thanks for the clarification. So in theory, we would only get 2 bonus tracks from the Japanese deluxe edition. If finally Wal-mart or some other site has an exclusive track it would be a surprise.

I like the Keys in rhese songs very much. The new piano part in the breakdown/bridge part of do what you can is nice. Also very nice atmospheric synth sounds in american reckoning (Springsteen ish)

Yes. I'm terrible. I hear a piano but I know Jon can play a piano.

At this point I think your hopes are a bit high but yeah.

I still think it was mentioned that Japan was getting bonus tracks before those other two became bonus tracks. Someone needs to just scroll back and look (not it)!

I know, but I remember a very strange thing when What About Now was released for sale, I remember that on a German store website I think, if you registered you could get a free download link for Into The Echo.

I would be happy with Hurricane Butterfly.

Nope. Back in March no bonus tracks were announced.
