I have a feeling that the box set will be released at the end of the year. He'll probably do a couple of shows for the occasion.

But maybe the documentary will come out earlier, and they'll expand the launch with that virtual thing they want to do with a bunch of live shows and memorabilia.

Waiting for March with the hope that they reveal something.

It's so quiet around the band. No real sign for nearly 2 years.

I honestly think this is a good thing. No easy money grabs, no oversaturation, no cheap product to push. 2024 should ("should") be a good year.

Maybe they silently called it a day and the social media team forgot to tell us?

They have mentioned several times from credible sources that a bunch of stuff is coming.

- Box Set
- New Album
- Video (old footage enhanced with AI - I remembered Jon referencing that Beatle documentary as a restoration comparison)

However, with all that comes a heavy promo from Jon and hopefully some Richie too...

I think the delay will be Jon's voice. I'm remaining hopeful that it will sound somewhat decent again but the more time that passes and the more things that get canceled like that fan club trip they announced, the more doubtful I'm becoming.

Listening to him speak doesn't give me any confidence either. But singing and speaking are somewhat different, so again, hopeful.

I think Jon might get to a point where he could sing a song here and there but to do a 2 hour per night tour would end him forever. I honestly don't think he'd make it past a second show.

I listened to his version of Fast Car today to compare it to Luke Comb's Verion and I almost passed out. I never want to hear that ever again. It was unlistenable. And I also think it had studio corrections too.

With the help of AI, Jon could now write and release albums until he's 90. But there is no money in albums and we know how Business Jon thinks so who knows what the future holds.

I do think we'll get some stuff. 1984 is the year so stuff can start as early as this Fall and as late as next Fall, which is over a year from now. It all depends on Jon's voice, health, and energy.

Did jon mentioned AI and restoration techniques? We know there will be a 4 part documentary and will probably upgrade the quality of some old footage, is this what you are refering to?

I think he will aim for the 50th anniversary of the band if I'm honest , 3 more albums and tours I say . Regarding his Voice if you look at Vince & Axl, just as bad if not worse and its not stopped them from touring at all.

I'm no musical expert but am I right in thinking that auto tune can also be used when singing live, what would peoples thoughts be if he went down that route ?

Iv said it before and ill say it again when your actually at the gig you don't even notice how bad his voice is, only when you see on YouTube etc .... attendances are still good with most of the shows sold out or very close to capacity

If its physically impossible and causing health issues only then , I believe he will call it a day
