Neither do I. When it actually comes to fruition, it's absolutely great. But Jon's called himself a "notorious liar" in the past, so I'd rather sit back and watch it unfold. Getting mega-hyped now just to bitch about us not getting what had been announced in two years ain't worth it. Already done that the shit Experience.

And to coincide with the 40th anniversary is going to be the be all end all box set.”

"Be all end all of boxsets" means something like "the daddy of all boxsets" or "the best there is". See https://www.wordreference.com/es/tra...0and%20end-all

Too good to be true. They are not able to put these shows in the Experience, I doubt it is that great. Let's see what happens.

Given that alot of the content will be post 2000, I think this being the "be all, end all" is a bit of stretch but sure Jon, sure

Btw, do you think Richie will be featured on the recordings that he originally played on, or will Shanks overdub his guitar parts (god forbid if he does...)?

Old songs with Shank? ... *Michael Scott yelling 'No, God, please, no!'*.

For as much as people complain about that idea, a lot of Burning Bridges was pretty well received here.

BB is fantastic, give me 50 songs as interesting as that album, and I would be very happy.

A lot of people don't know, but a lot of additional guitars from the 2004 box set were added by Bobby Bandiera.

If it's songs from the last 10-12 years I don't care if Shanks is on guitar. He has some interesting solos like Fingerprints (although it remains to be seen if the original demo of that song, Richie did the same solo, and the re-recording we got was just Shanks replicating it).

My problem would be with the older songs, if for example they include a song from the eighties or nineties, and Richie has a good guitar solo, it would bother me a lot if they removed it to add a guitar solo from Shanks or Phil.
