I have not seen were he says this song is about Soul Kitchen, but I can definitely see how it is. I'm sure over the years they have heard many stories at SK and their other philanthropic work of people who were once at the top of whatever game they were playing, and how fragile the reign at the top can be. (When it all comes crashing down, all you have left is your soul, so hopefully you haven't sold it. ��) I'm sure parts of many of those stories are written into the lyrics.

I don't know a lot about poetry, but if the writer says it was inspired from Soul Kitchen, I will believe him. ��
