It's a team work. If everybody contributes and looks in the same direction, which doesn't mean to be a boring yesman to everything, then yeah, it's possible to release sth new every six months or so.

We're well past the days of anyone releasing a new album every six months but an EP inbetween releases is completely realistic.

Plus, the European leg of the tour would be quite distanced from the release of THINFS. The could release something to bridge that gap

Which is pretty par for the course when the last release didn't sell well, if Bon Jovi history proves anything.

I find it a little sad that most acts see it as standard to wait three years between every release. I envy those of you who got to experience the times when your favorite bands basically threw material at the fans like once every six months.
It's not too early to write but it's too early to release an album... but when it comes to Jon, he sits down and writes for an album...

I agree with that, but the creativity that these bands have at the beginning are in their state of grace, and when they have been doing albums for more than 20 years, it is less and less inspirational and it seems more like getting an album for the business in itself. So come to this point, think maybe they should make a break and then prepare a comeback bringing something fresh and different to the above.

Having said all this, and seeing how everything has deteriorated, I am willing to listen to more music, an EP with some new songs and b-sides (RAGE OF ANGELS) that we have not heard would be great, the release could be at the end of the year, so we can play them Live next year.

Played the album THINFS so soon that has killed a bit the Spectacle of the tour.

This House was superior and more creative than anything they have done since Lost Highway. If Jon has something to say, there is no clock telling him it's too early or too anything. I just hope if he is writing, it is not political crap. But it probably is. Ugh.

To be honest Becky, the way things are going now, its hard not for Jon or any other artists to not write about the social and political climate now. Its everywhere, news, internet, newspapers, talk radio, everywhere. Its kind of what happened with music in the 60's, many artists were writing about the social and political climate of the time, and when u think about, alot of the best music came from the era, even if you didn't agree with the message, it was still great music.
Personally I think this will be a great era in music, you are going to see more creative music and lyrics that are going to say something, whether you agree with it or not, JMO

It's not about agreeing or disagreeing. I simplify hate politics and politicians. It's not what I want from ENTERTAINMENT.

it sure looks like they are working on sth, really excited with the prospect of new material even if its probably too early. i hope the new contract makes jon take some risks and change things up. unfortunately its really hard for the public to give a chance for a group like bj still if jon and the guys outdo themselves not only there will always be a big crowd waiting but they have such a fanbase that good material will sooner or later be aknowledged.
