Backstage with Bon Jovi (40th Anniversary)

As thrilled as I am to be getting all this material, this entire thing is equally confusing, as I should have expected coming from this organization.

1. Navigating through this thing is so confusing. There is stuff everywhere and I still have no idea how you all found this New Jersey material. But even that aside, this database is not user-friendly.

2. What are they doing with this? Is this always going to be free or will it eventually be a paid subscription? Common sense would make me believe that once it's paid, we will get full songs with better audio quality. But common sense goes out the window with this organization.

Now I'm thinking that this is just a promotion for what's to come on physical releases. We are getting bits and pieces of full songs, partial songs, partial shows, mixed qualities, etc.

It's frustrating because I would expect them to have Giants Stadium 1989 in full, perfect audio and video... But that audio is absolutely terrible. Was that done on purpose or is that just the best they have? The other shows had much better audio so why couldn't that be somewhat matching to the others?

I need someone to just make a statement on what the deal is with this thing. The more stuff they release, the more pissed I am getting because it's partial this, bad quality that, etc. I just want full songs/videos in the best quality offered.

Enough with the teasers already and just tell us the deal.

I don't think so. It sounds like they are just working out the chorus.

Yeah everytime I click on New Jersey it says "coming soon" yet somehow Ive stumbled upon some NJ demos and live performances from 88/89.

Agree with the above. I wish they would just come out and say how this is all going to work. I find it frustrating that the site describes what is on the tapes but then only provides a 1 min preview.

Having said the above, it is great to get some of these NJ tour performances. The Mexico songs are phenomenal!! As is Blood On Blood from Philly with Alec taking lead in the breakdown!!! They must have the majority of these shows in this quality. Hoping this is still the preview and then we will get a major update with the release of the doco.

The clips from Japan 1990, i.e. soundcheck, bowling and dinner, are great and interesting too.

Really hoping that they start posting full shows as well.

I have to admit that already lost complete interest in the site: Don't get me wrong, it was nice to listen to some of the snippets at the beginning, but when will be full songs available to listen? Until there's no news about releasing at the least some of the material, I won't bother anymore with paying attention to the site.

On one hand, I'm beyond thrilled that they are doing all this but on the other, it's really frustrating. I get giving us samples in the being to raise interest etc but now 2 months later, they are continuing with the samples up to New Jersey. If they continue with that route, it'll take 3 years to get through all the albums, and then what?

Bottom line, I am ready to pay (I want to pay) and I'm ready to get full-quality recordings to ENJOY.

I like Jon's cover of Action In The Streets, Too Fast To Live has my interest, No Mercy is badass, they have to have SBD quality audio from Giants '89. They even released some songs as b-sides.

My fear is, that by going this route, people are going to lose interest which will result in this thing fizzling out. Just like everything else. They think people don't have an interest in the material when in reality, it's the way they go about it that causes the loss of interest.

It feels like they put 2+ years of work int oit so it'd be wild if they let it fizzle out. It feels like they launched it way too early. The fanbase had to learn updates would be monthly from the website MAKER versus the band itself so who knows. Still super hopeful we get word of more coming soon, I'm hooked.

My concern is that all we ever get is the samples. As far as I know there's been no official comment saying that they will be offering all this stuff up for purchase in full. It's all just speculation. If they don't...wow....

Thankfully the last few things I've seen have been full songs so here's hoping.

This was a MAJOR MAJOR investment for them, this is one of the few times Im begging them to make me pay haha
