I think we can put that Hugh topic to rest with the video of him telling how Jon called him to record Slippery and him being really present in the studio footage recording New Jersey (that's 100% him)

The videos also show In America was recorded in the studio in Vancouver and Jon also states they took 30 songs to Little Mountain and recorded them - those deluxe edition tracks do not cover all the tracks recorded or are top quality studio recordings/ mixing - the deluxe editions were either on the floor mixes or very badly mixed (with missing parts and live vocals). Unless disaster and they have been damaged/lost there is tracks that have not been professionally mixed to completion at pretty much the peak of the bands career - but will Jon ever have them mixed and to the standard you can nowadays ……….

In America exists as a perfect studio mix, they made a promo tape with it early on in the sessions (April 198. So that one was actually mixed.

I just can’t believe they have the multitracks to these New Jersey sessions and likely Slippery sessions that have gone unmixed and they’ve only used rough mixes - demos etc …… Modern technology once taken from tape into Pro Tools and the tracks can be cleaned up and mixed to a very high standard - just like Queen and Springsteen have done …..

Yeah this. People are talking like mixing these things is some major task that it is going to cost millions. In this day an age, no not at all. Which is what makes me think that they must be lost or damaged...which would be such a shame.

A top mixer a few years ago could charge £5-7k a track (some more) and I’m sure Serbian Ghenea (the top micer in the world for the last few years) is likely as much or more. However a decent mixer is not as much as that ………..
Nowadays - triggers added to drums (drum samples) - vocal editing/tuning - removing noise - timing issues etc —— pretty much anything …… is now possible. David Coverdale and Whitesnake have used someone to remix albums and release these remixes with the original album plus bonus tracks - it would be great if Jon would do this and employ a quality modern mixer to make these tracks heard in the quality that is possible ……. I’d be amazed if the multitracks are gone - the tapes they were recorded in those days were pretty expensive and I’m sure with the act Bon Jovi they will have been kept secure.
