Is it just 18 and Life ? I Remember You and Youth Gone Wild have certainly influences of Jon’s writing style …….

So far. But I'm sure more is coming. Maybe this is Jon's way of clearing his name for taking the profits from their first album

Since Jon has mentioned Snake & Rachel would come over to his house to get songs graded, I doubt those weren't shown off as well.

There's Skid Row demos on Youtube, by the way. Many of them pre-Bach, so if a song was basically finished on these demos, Jon probably wasn't involved with it.

Jon has made clear this was before Seb. joined - possibly to show Seb. Knew nothing of what had happened ……. I do think Jon is a very smart guy and in showing this from the archives provides evidence in a subtle way of what happened ….. It seems from what he he says and written by him he co- wrote 18 and Life and possibly more off the first Skid Row album — you can’t argue that he’s written and co-written songs that will last more than a lifetime ….

Jon was a writing machine back in his prime. He might have lacked that little extra push needed the get the perfect hook across like Desmond had but Jon was (and possibly still is) a master of lyrics, phrases, and rhymes.

I think he wanted to give Skid Row as much of their own identity as possible while still being involved. Kinda like what he does now with Hampton Waters. He'll use his brand (which is himself) to help promote the products but doesn't want it to be a subset of himself.

Skid Row could have easily been known to be Bon Jovi Part 2 just like how Aldo Nova became Jon Bon Jovi Part 2... However, acting as a ghostwriter in combination with Sebastian Bach being the ultimate frontman helped the Skids obtain their own identity.

I’ve met Jon and he’s a class act - great business man and a great musician - he can still write a great hook even though we would all love the guitar higher in the mix lol …… 1986-89 he was more than hungry and formidable with a work ethic second to none …… I think this is just setting the record straight regarding Skid Row ….

Is it setting the record straight considering we still have no idea what happened and are speculating? He is muddying the waters if anything.

I think he’s pretty much outlined it - Snake and Bolan brought ideas in and he gave his input with the video of him driving around his home town showing the apartment where he states ‘that’s where we wrote 18 and Life……’ That is the only song he’s mentioned and we don’t know how many he worked on or what made the album ….

I'm sure there are others. 18 & Life is their signature. It's their LOAP so that's the go to. It's just a high level mention. He's not doing a Skid Row song analysis. Maybe some other stuff will surface as time rolls on.

"I remember you" with a 80s Jon vocal, now that I'd love to hear should it exist!
