You should write it all down because then you'll see I'm one of the only few who knows what they are talking about.

SFTP was one of the weakest single the US has had from Bon Jovi. They actually paired it with Lie To Me and it still bombed.

I call you guy’s text book fans. You haven’t lived this band and the times since '84. You make comparisons based off each other and whatever Wikipedia says.

That’s why no matter what you, Thinery, and the other idiots say, it means absolutely nothing to me.

Okaaaaaay... let's keep it about the music and our feelings around it, eh fellas... we've finally got some songs to discuss and this board is the best thing about the new single for me!

Kopper, my old chap, you obviously rate whether a single was good by it's sales, that's fine. I couldn't tell you whether a song has been a commercial bomb or a success off the top of my head, just whether or not I liked it.

SFTP has something BWC cannot even touch...

'Loneliness, has found a home in me. My suitcase & guitar are my only family.
I've tried to need someone, like they needed me; I opened up my heart but all I did was bleed.'

THAT is an example of simplicity as genius (it's a saying, I am not stating it's genius).

The above lyrics are an example of a general, non-specific lyric that resonates... it's exactly what this band used to do well (as you know, having been a fan for a long time) and gave up doing in favour of having a big beat and getting you to put your hands up. That kind of resonance with a lyric is what I miss about my band the most.

Just sayin...

Are you trying to change what you meant by that statement? Dp you genuinely think 'Because we can' is actually a better song than 'something for the pain' or are you now just stating that SFTP bombed in the U.S, which of course it kind of did and proves nothing of it's quality.

I'm a text book fan? What does that even mean. And don't lump me in with our dear Terry and his cohorts, they're another breed altogether

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Oh Jesus people, play nice. It's good to have a bit more traffic with the new single to discuss, try not to put people off reading and posting by bickering and insulting each other.

There we go... an chance of sensible debate has ended... I would say it's like riling The Hulk but he'll enjoy that too much.

Kopper, relax... your view is valid but you lose your footing if you get wound up mate. Get back to your point and let's enjoy ourselves again kids...

I listened the single on my Mu-Te-Ki and I heared Richie's voice on the chorus, but can't define if the grave one is from Tico or Bobby (the voice reminds me of his on Every Word Was A Piece Of My Heart).

Edit: The song is finally available on Spotify! http://open.spotify.com/track/6SKERLaeje1zWmMvX3eXcp

I edited the song Because We Can, removing the intro of Jon singing the chorus in the begining, and the song sounds surprisingly much more emotional. A bad choice to start the song with that intro.

I just deleted all my negative posts so we can get back on track.

As far as SFTP goes, this is not a killer song as far as I am concerned. I'm a Bon Jovi fan so I like all songs but even to this day, the first verse gets me pumped and by the second, I'm sleeping. It's just way over produced and the lyrics are just ok, typical Bon Jovi lyrics. It's one of songs that just fades from start to finish.

It's not one of my go to songs when I'm in the mood for Bon Jovi.

Now it's still too early to tell but I really like BWC because it's catchy and doesn't lose me after the second verse. This type of song is not deep so the lyrics are irrelevant but I could see this going over very well live. If a song like this could be a top 20 and spark some new fans then I'm happy.

The singles are for the average listener and the rest of the album is for me.
