You're right about Richie, but it's really so watered down that it's laughable. However, I find it interesting that Shanks twittered about rock songs with guitar solos and David Bryan said in an interview there'd be lot of keyboards on this album - will the single really be the great exception?
(ok in some way WWBTF also was the exception on TC)
