Also, does anybody else find it bad taste to use the word masturbate on the closing song of a great album with a scarlet thread of legacy tied into everything. Hollow Man is a somber song, and I get having the humor and all. But it didn't seem...idk fitting for the occasion..? Just lewd. He could've used another way of making us smile. Oh! And the harmonica style used in American Reckoning could've worked well in Hollow Man too. Maybe a fellow super fan can make an alternate version with the harmonica used in it somehow instead of the masturbate Thoughts?
That's one of my favourite lines on the whole album. Hearing Jon take honest-to-god chances instead of relying on ten cent cliches. I'm sure there is a different way to get his point across but he's a 60+ year old man releasing songs for adults.

That bridge from Hollow Man is awesome. It sounds truly sincere and zero cliche.

Oh my what happened to my hearing on that song? I completely missed that! I'm not bothered by him using that, but I must say if I were writing that song I wouldn't have used that myself.

Nothing lewd about that at all in my opinion. It’s a rather vulnerable and sincere song about aspects of the human condition and this is just another aspect of it. Feeds right into that theme of vulnerability and sincerity and there’s nothing taboo or shameful about it.

If you see this album as a LP with a side A and B, side A is killer. Side B is a bit less. Side A is the ine I'd play for non Jovi fans to show them how great they still are in 2024.

Waves and Seeds are killer.
Easy and Living Proof are killer too.
Legendary isn't bad and Kiss the bride is better that what I was thinking of it at first. Hollow man is ( gotta admit) a grower.

That's my personal feeling 2 days after te release.

Exaclty! Side A has more upbeat songs and Kiss The Bride as the slow one.

Side B has more ballads, but also the great upbeats The People's House and Walls Of Jericho.

The favorite: Living Proof.

Close seconds (cannot decide on one!): Waves, Seeds and Walls of Jericho.

Do you agree with the order of the tracklist or would you do it differently?

My tracklist

Legendary

Living Proof
Seeds
That Was Then, This Is Now
My First Guitar
The People's House
Living In Paradise
I Wrote You A Song
We Made It Look Easy

Can argue with the album's ordering. It's perfect.

Personally, I would swap TWTTIN in for I Wrote You A Song but that's separate to the ordering.
