Burning Bridges is Bon Jovi’s thirteenth studio album.
Produced by John Shanks, it was released on August 21, 2015, through Mercury Records (USA), Island Records (Europe), and Barclay Music (France) in vinyl, CD, and as a digital download. Burning Bridges
should not be confused with This House Is Not For Sale, the fourteenth studio album that will be released in Q1 2016.
Though we thought it could be a b-sides and outtakes compilation, John Shanks
confirmed that
they recorded all the songs for this album and that it has a “fresh rock” sound. Jon Bon Jovi added “it’s songs that weren’t finished, that were finished, and a couple of new ones”.
Should be noted that this record serves both as a
fan album and
as a final "ciao" to UMG (Universal Music Group), as the band cutted ties with Mercury Records after 32 years: "the traditional model didn't work out for me anymore", Jon said.
The album was delivered in a brown paperbag, that serves as the cover.
Burning Bridges can now be bought on iTunes, Amazon, Microsoft Store, Wallmart, CDJapan, and other stores.
The Japanese/Wallmart edition will have one inedite song as a bonus track: "Take Back The Night". It can also be bought on lossless format at 44.1 kHz and 24 bits on
HD Tracks,
and streamed for free on Spotify.
The physical version of the album doesn't include any lyrics
(with exception of the Japanese version that comes with a separate lyrics booklet), credits, interviews, nor pictures. Music credits can be found under the
music section of the Bon Jovi website.
