Reminder: we don't know they were dropped by the label. They may have left for another label that offered better promotion, or left for a label where they would have more creative control, or left for a label for a myriad of reasons that we don't know about because it's not April/May yet and we haven't heard the next album, seen how it's going to be released/promoted and what the next tour will be like.

I don't think we'll know any details until after Burning Bridges has run its course and they're officially off UMG, so probably not until after 2015.

At this point, I'm going to declare victory for Burning Bridges. (Although, I don't have high expectations for the remaining 3 tracks + 1 Bonus!

Note: I say 'remaining 3' because I'm going to chalk up the Title Track as a win being that it's only 2:44 and we've already heard over half of it. I think we are just missing the first verse and the outro chorus...I'm also going to chalk up Who Would You Die For as a win just based on Jon's vocal and the production in itself)

This might be the best album we've gotten in 20 years, since These Days. There are actually a lot of similarities between the two too. We'll have to wait for the final product to do a song by song comparison but there is a similar mood going on there.

This albums offers something different. Great titles and well written lyrics. Titles like A Teardrop To The Sea are brilliant. The production is much better and Jon's got a little fire back in his vocal delivery. It's very diverse and even old school at times. I'm Your Man and Who Would You Die For have an old and older school type vibe going on there. Finally, it all sounds fresh!!! Maybe Jon taking the recordings out of his home studio and going back to the Power Station helped the production. Using different equipment could impact a lot.

Now the irony in all this is Jon stating that 'after Burning Bridges, he's got a really great album in store for us.' I don't even know what to make of that but as of now, I'm just looking forward to Friday. I can't wait to get the physical CD and listen to these songs in the best sound available.

I don't think that this is going to be the best album in 20 years at all, at least not for me. Though I agree that the lyrics on it seem pretty good, the production still doesn't make it up for me: has that "shanks' sound". Still I have high hopes on it and hope it's friday to listen to it.

I've just listened to Teardrop to the Sea and I love it! Got it on repeat, actually.

Can't wait till Friday to buy the whole CD. Still doesn't come up on Walmart.ca so don't know if we get the bonus track release or not.

Also not sure it'll be better than The Circle for me. Though Teardrop has blown me away and We Don't Run is excellent, and Blind Love is a pretty song but just has a touch more emotion than What About Now, the other tracks I haven't heard (don't listen to snippets) so they'd have to be very good.

However the production I've heard on these songs so far could actually make me forgive Shanks - it's not bad at all, and if it's him playing guitar, I kinda like the guitar sounds I've heard.

In all honesty though knowing what this album is, I'm not even in a way viewing it alongside the other Jovi records. I'll wait for the "real" album next year for that but this sounds like a nice collection to have - and Teardrop is possibly one of my favourite songs ever.

I don't know who's mixing the songs, but what I don't like is that the sound doesn't have depth. It all sounds pretty "plain". I'm not saying that what Shanks does is shit, because I'll be lying, I think that the production in Into The Echo is pretty good. The Circle is really consistent too. And about the guitars, I dig how he plays. But still, I'd like to see them work with another producer, or another songwriters, they've been working with Shanks for almost 10 years now, and the next record will be produced by him too! It's time for a break!

These days I've been listening a lot to The Circle and Have A Nice Day and, thought those have some bad songs, I don't think Burning Bridges will be better than it. I don't even put Lost Highway because it's a step higher, not only on songwriting but on the production (specially the songs that Huff produced).

That been said, I'm pretty sure that I'll really like this album. I can't stop playing Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning (doesn't matter if it's the average pop-rock Bon Jovi song, I love it!) and Blind Love (yeah, simple song but I also like it a lot. Totally excited about Who Would You Die For (HOLY SHIT THE SNIPPET IS AMAZING), Life Is Beautiful and curious about what Take Back The Night might be. About Teardrop, I like it a lot, but that's a perfect example of a great song that could be even greater with a different producer (at least in my opinion).

I think the only song where the production sounds quite bad is 'We Don't Run' but I love that song!

I actually think he's doing an alright job on this album by the sounds of it. I'm not his biggest fan but it seems to me that a lot of people will slate his production just because it's John Shamks.

Still, I may dislike the production overall come Friday...

My favorite songs
Teardrop to the Sea - great.
We Don't Run - cool but ... lack of guitars.
Sunday Morning - Ok (I like it)
Who Would You Die For - sample is awesome, Jon vocals is wow!
Fingerprints - mmmm seems good song
I'm Your Man - tipical BJ rock 'n roll oldshool. I like it.
Burning Bridges - funny and sound great.

No favorites
Blind Love - boring
We all Fall down - corny
Life is Beautiful - nothing new

Take Back the Night - ?????

This time John Shanks has done much better than "What About Now".
