Had a listen to "Teardrop..." and it reminds me of something that could have been on Bryan Adams Spirit soundtrack album, plus a bit of Destination Anywhere thrown in.

"Blind Love" is meh. Not terrible but nothing I'm in a rush to listen to anytime soon.

On the whole, so far there's 2 good songs (TttS, We Don't Run) and 2 average ones (SNGMSM, Blind Love). That's already better than What About Now so far. I'm more eager for Burning Bridges than I've been for a Bon Jovi album in 10 years.

For Teardrop I wouldve liked a intro with a moody dirty sounding guitar or an intro a bit like Pearl Jams Once before the guitar kicks in. Just something that builds up creating an atmosphere rather than the wooaah wooaah

But its a great song none the less.

I don't agree, most of my favorite Bon Jovi songs are ballads. I don't think at all that if a song doesn't have lots of guitars or rock sound isn't great.

As I said, I still have to wait for the songs to grow on me. Been listening them all morning and I kinda like them BUT the thing is that these songs don't make me feel anything just yet. Maybe I have to listen to them at the right time.

I don't hate them, I like them as I like most this band does, but I don’t love them too.

The lyrics are pretty good, so far.

Fair Enough!

They are both continuing to grow on me, especially 'Blind Love'. I liked Teardrop from the first listen and thought Blind Love was weak but it's actually quite good.

It was supposed to be "at the right time" on the other post. I'm liking them a little bit more every time I listen to them, not sure if they're growing on me or it's just Stockholm syndrome.

Starting to think that SNGMSM was requested by the label because of the need of a pop single. Think about it, sounds off and it was released with another song as the lead single. Maybe even "Take Back The Night" was supposed to be on this record and was downgraded to bonus track status so they could add this one.

Still, I know the other 3 songs are more refreshing but SNGMSM makes me happy and so far it's the one I'm liking the most.

I'm thinking that We Don't Run was initially done slower and then sped up after. Someone else stated that too but if you listen to both together, it does become more obvious.

(I'm not saying that they are identical versions but I'm talking specific about the recording. )
I think that was the goal. Both songs are the counterpoint. One is a song of fall, the other to get up, and I love that.

Teardrop is growing in me, I can enjoy this loser touch. Hopefully Jon made more songs of pessimistic tone, sounds much more inspiring than the typical optimistic message.

Blind Love, remains stalled. I don't like, but I not hate it. Say that I can live with it in the album.

I am eager to discover the track 4, We All Fall Down. Maybe a little of rock?

As of right now, this as close as we'll get to a JBJ solo album and results have been proven as to why I wanted one for so long. Something different with a darker tone. It's not DA, nor would I want another one anyway. That album is wayyyyy over rated on here. A few great ones but some real snoozers too.

It's got that solo feel, with the band's touch, and a modern sound. For a 53 year old Jon, I'm quite impressed. This totally exceeded my expectations.

When I first heard Sat Night, although I liked it, I thought 'here we go again' but the other tracks are definitely my kind of music. This album is on its way to being the best since the 90's...
