It's got that solo feel, with the band's touch, and a modern sound. For a 53 year old Jon, I'm quite impressed. This totally exceeded my expectations.

When I first heard Sat Night, although I liked it, I thought 'here we go again' but the other tracks are definitely my kind of music. This album is on its way to being the best since the 90's...

I agree with some points. But friend, I can not stop loving Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning, yes, it's the same old shit , but it is irresistible to me.

Agree with you Rolo, SNGMSM is the kind of song I usually say "Why again?" but this time I really like it. There's different ways of doing a nice pop-rock song, this is the right one.

What disappoints me so far is that out of 10 songs, we already have 4 with zero imput by David. He's an amazing songwriter and I dig most of the band's songs he co-wrote.

Really hope that the is more involved on the songwriting process of the next album.

I think Jon said once he and David not be a good team. He had tried to make songs with David but failed to reach fruition. Between this and that Jon is not very proud of their first two albums ..... but David is now winner 4 Tony Awards Who knows.

Hate to disagree with Jon, but he co-wrote:
  • Love Lies
  • Breakout
  • Only Lonely
  • The Hardest Part Is The Night
  • (I Don't Wanna Fall) To The Fire
  • Borderline
  • In These Arms
  • Unbreakable

... and those are pretty good songs. Maybe even more if we check out the demos and the boxset.

Maybe sit with Child, Shanks or another new songwritter and add David to the formula. He might have some good ideas.

I wasn't a fan of DA. Loved some tracks but got bored with most. Hated midnight in Chelsea and still do.

Where/when did Jon say that? Because in the thousands of interviews I've collected through the years, he's never said a negative thing about David and this is the first allegation anyone has ever made of him saying such a thing.

I do not remember, but I think even had a video of it. Jon highlighted the chemistry he had with Richie, and said of David that sometimes behaves like a child, and when they argued, David left the room. I think he made a reference to the song The End, who composed in the house of David.
