This album is like when I discovered the box set 2004. Very similar feelings.

You wondered why Beautiful Day wasn't on the box set?

Teardrop is now my favorite song on BB. And might even be in my top ten favorite Jovi tunes... I hope it has longevity.

Jon actually has passion in his voice and delivers this one to perfection. It works with his current vocal tone.

With the exception of the 4 we already have, nothing stands out to me either. I can see why Jon has no passion for this.

My only hope with Richie leaving the band is that it would give Jon something to prove. If the next record is the same old same old, I'm done. It will prove just who the leak wink truly is.

I think Teardrop and Blind Love both showed that you can't judge the songs based on 20 second snippets. I didn't think much of either until I actually heard them and I think they're both great now. Blind Love is just stunning. I'm not even listening to the snippets of the others.

Exactly!!!

I'm convinced people will complain just to complain! These 4 songs are different and offer something that I haven't felt in a long time from a studio release. I'm not quite sure what that is but I look forward to listening to them still and each listen still sounds fresh. These songs feel like this should have been the next release after TD/DA. Add in IML and this would feel like more of the natural progression of this band.

Most of Burning Bridges is the album that was supposed to be between TC and WAN. I think Jon had a few directions to take outside the band and never quite got there. WDR and Teardrop are leftovers from the 2016 album. SNGMSM is a Circle outtake and the remaining bunch are probably leftovers from an attempted 3rd solo album and maybe another attempt at some soundtrack songs. Jon did state that he was going to do both.

Because of that, BB won't be perfect but it's still quite enjoyable and now I get way it's a 'Fan Album'.
