Looks like the new album is referred to as "a fan album" by the powers that be: first UMG and now Island:
Amazon listed the album as an Island Records release but several articles + an official link say Republic Records (which is also the label that released "Finding Neverland"). Both belong to UMG.

All new?? didn't jon himself say at the trip at least saturday night is from 8 to 10 years ago??? They are maybe redone and new recorded but really new??? What's the point of releasing a "fan record" with new songs before the "real"record with new songs next year?? Or do I missunderstand something here??
