I think it's unfair to compare songs. Teardrop and Blind Love...

Some are comparing them to The Fighter or Old Habits while others are comparing them to Lie To Me or Something To Believe In. I could even make a Sole Truth comparison due to the piano but every song is different and offers a different element.

If there is one thing I learned from those stupid singing competitions is that a song needs to be believable. It's more than just being able to singing it. It's putting in passion and emotion. Jon used to do that naturally and that's why he was once so flawless. He lost that with their past few releases but now he has seemed to have found something with these two songs.

In addition, they offer something much more lyrically. These songs are very well crafted lyrically! Teardrop's even got that hook. I mean come on! I'm a sucker for those hooks though.

Every album needs to be balanced and these songs are part of that balance. Maybe by themselves one could think of them as snoozefests (I don't) but as a way to balance out an album, they are needed and quite brilliant!

These songs will be spoken about years from now as being underrated.
