Maybe Ed's manager doesn't think he should do it. It would definitely be a better career move for Jon than for Ed.

Ed is also signed to Warner Music. There is a very good chance that they don't want Ed to sing on a record that is released by Universal...maybe they wanted too much money for Ed to make a guest appearace outside of his Warner contract...

Could be many reasons...
Yeah, I guess so.

It isn't a great song, for sure, but neither are Sheeran's songs anyway.

Ed's latest output is nothing to write home about, but during the 2010s he certainly wrote a lot more great songs than Jon did. I tend to agree with the previous comment that he would've used it for his own records if he thought much of it.

Legendary was my number 1 played song on Spotify for 2024. Another major achievement for the album 👍.

That song still puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.

It was 2nd for me but I genuinely think that's because I listened to Living Proof a lot more when it was released and that was always next. There's no way I've purposely listened to Legendary more than Waves anyway.

Hahahaha, a win is a win.

Which song from Forever do you think would have been the highlight in a live setting?

I never would have thought Loves the Only Rule would have been the best live song from The Circle, for example. I have a feeling My First Guitar would work great live.

Great question. You should make that question as a thread, mate!

I'd probably say Living Proof. Although, I feel that's maybe a bit too obvious so I'd have to go with Walls Of Jericho. Especially after Jon mentioned how he can imagine everyone at Hyde Park waving along to it etc...

Walls of Jericho was my first thought too. It has an anthemic, sing along vibe to it alright.

You could extend the intro ten times over as Jon walks through the crowd. That'd of been cool. Outro too. Those nanas as Jon high fives people
