Default Global Charts Tracking - What About Now

We had one of these for The Circle and now here we are again for What About Now.

Official chart positions for the album (and possibly future singles) can go here.

The standard edition is currently #3 on iTunes Australia behind Sound City - Real to Reel and the current #1... yep David Bowie. The deluxe edition is #5.

Also the Greatest Hits is currently #11.

It's gonna be their first studio album without a certification in the US, mark my words.

The album has no longevity, it's destined to fail.

I've read all your posts about the new album, they all have the same attitude towards it. Why do you like album so much ?

No.2 in the UK after 1 days sales, getting tonked by Bowie. By the looks of it, Jovi have done 18k on day 1 (probably including pre-orders)

Quote:
David Bowie is officially back as The Next Day looks set to become his ninth UK Number 1 album!

David Bowie is on course for his first Number 1 album in nearly 20 years, according to this morning’s Official Charts Company sales data.

The singer’s 24th studio album, The Next Day, will be his first Number 1 album since Black Tie White Noise, which topped the Official Albums Chart in April 1993.

The Next Day has also clocked up the biggest first day sale of any album this year (56,000 copies) and is currently outselling its closest competitor, Bon Jovi’s What About Now (Number 2) by nearly three to one.

If The Next Day can maintain its lead going into the weekend, it will be Bowie’s ninth Number 1 album in the UK.

“Bowie is officially back!” says Official Charts Company Managing Director, Martin Talbot. “The Next Day is a true gift for all Bowie afficionados. It already sounds like a classic Bowie album – and its popularity this week is already showing that the great British public have taken it to their hearts.”

The full Official Albums Chart Top 100 will be revealed on Sunday (March 17) at 7PM on www.officialcharts.com. Tune into Radio 1’s Official Chart Update with Scott Mills and Jameela Jamil tomorrow between 3.30 – 4pm, and check back here from 4pm for the Official Singles Chart and Official Albums Chart midweek update Top 40s.
